Brand Loyalty and Toxins

Why does it matter what is in Kellogg’s cereals if we aren’t buying it? I wanted to touch on this from the perspective of a feeding and speech therapist.

I see a lot of patients who are very picky eaters, and they are often brand loyal - there is one cereal that they like, and that is the only kind they will eat. If these companies knowingly are putting toxins into their foods, they should also know that they are directly impacting the futures of these kids who are eating their products day in and day out.

These ingredients are important to the families of these kiddos - it’s cruel that they’re faced with the choice of either feeding their child toxic food or having them refuse to eat.

So a big “thank you!” to all of the doctors and influencers who are pushing for transparency and accountability. In my field of eating therapists and speech therapists, we are behind you, we also want to see these things change for our patients.

Hopefully one day these food dyes and toxins will be taken out of not just cereals but out of all our foods, and we’ll be here, ready to come alongside our patients as they adjust to a healthier way of eating.

Are you fighting against food dyes and toxins in your home? What healthy products are you using to replace those with toxic ingredients? Be proud of yourself for making those small changes, they will add up!

You’ve got this - let’s go make some Myo Magic!
